Andrew Dillane leads the creation and delivery of the overall e-business strategy for the Canadian group of companies including Randstad Canada, Sapphire Canada, ATS Reliance, OriginHR and GMS Canada. This combined group forms the largest staffing and recruiting company in Canada and is part of the second largest in the world. Andrew's e-business strategy is focused on leveraging technology to maximize value to clients, provide competitive differentiation in the market and transform the industry.
Andrew joined Sapphire Canada (then CNC Global) in 2001 as Director of Information Technology. In December, 2003, he was promoted to Chief Information Officer (CIO) and in 2006 his operational responsibilities were expanded to include Client and Consultant Services. As a result of Randstad’s acquisition of the Vedior Group of Companies in 2008, Andrew was promoted to the group executive and the role of Group CIO.
Andrew brings with him a wealth of knowledge and skills gained from experience in the management of application service providers (ASP / SaaS), call centre management, software development, technology sales and support, and outsourcing services. Under his leadership, the company's technology portfolio has grown to include custom solutions focused on meeting unique client needs. These solutions include the development and implementation of CONNECT™ technology, for which the company has been the recipient of two Canadian Information Productivity Awards (CIPA).
Andrew serves on Ryerson University’s Information Technology Management (ITM) Program Advisory Council helping to establish curriculum for building future IT Managers. He is the National President of the CIO Association of Canada and is an expert member of the Canadian Coalition for Tomorrow’s ICT Skills. He also serves on the Board of Kinsa.
Andrew holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Ryerson University.
