Barry Clavir
Director

For 25 years, Barry Clavir has been a senior strategist specializing in a wide array of business development and marketing and communications projects. As President of Motivational Strategies and Executive Director of THE CIO SUMMIT®, Barry works closely with organizations that wish to better understand the needs and interests of CIOs and their counterparts in Canada and the United States and conducts research projects and seminars designed to enhance the effectiveness and strategic capabilities of senior business executives.

An MBA graduate of York University in Toronto (1976), Barry spent the early part of his career as an account director with large international advertising agencies and as a television producer. He is a past member of the Board of Governors for the Information Technology Association of Canada (ITAC), a member of the Board of Directors for the University Club of Toronto and a member of the Board of Directors of Kinsa, a national not-for-profit organization devoted to making the Internet a safe place for children. He is also Co-Founder and Chairman of the Young Navigators®, a not-for-profit organization designed to assist young adults seeking career opportunities in the information technology sector.
