Michael Ras
Vice-Chair, Kinsa Board of Directors

Michael Ras is Director of Stakeholder Relations & Development with the Richard Ivey School of Business, Centre for Health Innovation & Leadership.  In this role, Michael is responsible for the development of partnerships with private and public institutions interested in advancing innovations in health technology or systems across Canada.

Over his career, Michael has been a senior public affairs and strategic communications consultant specializing in public-private partnerships, particularly in the technology sector, as well as complex regulatory matters impacting business. He maintains a position as Senior Counsel with Temple Scott Associates – a public affairs consulting agency with offices in Ottawa and Toronto – where Michael provides counsel to a wide variety of clients.  Over the years, Michael has also been active in political organizing and campaign management.

On a personal level, Michael is a husband and father of two daughters. His hope is that by the time his daughters are old enough to use the Internet, it will be a safe and secure place for them to learn and explore the world.

Michael holds an Hons. B.A. from Wilfrid Laurier University. He is Vice Chair of Kinsa and active in raising funds for many charities in his community. He is also active as a political party volunteer and a member of the Board of the Greater Toronto Marketing Alliance.
