As the Holidays approach, so many of us are busy making shopping lists and planning a wonderful season for our children. But I wonder about those kids who are at the forefront of Kinsa's efforts. Those children who are put in harm's way, most likely by the very people meant to care for and nurture them. If we don't work toward locating, rescuing, protecting and ultimately helping them heal, who will? It is often said that it takes a village to raise a child. Join Kinsa's Global Village!
Kinsa’s mission:To protect, rescue and heal child victims of abuse whose images are shared on the Internet.Kinsa’s vision:To create a global safety net that protects every child everywhere from online exploitation.
In order to achieve this vision, Kinsa has a focused mission addressing five priorities.
1. Educate the public, policy makers and law enforcement about the issue of online sexual exploitation of children, its massive scope and devastating impact.2. Advocate for positive change in legislation and industry in order to protect children from online exploitation.3. Train law enforcement and child protection personnel worldwide in order to rescue child victims and capture the abusers who share images of child abuse through the Internet.4. Build a global collaborative team of partners in the public, private and NGO sectors to weave a seamless web of protection for children everywhere.5. Heal: Kinsa‘s Mothers Online Movement (MOM) provides funding to medical, psychological and child protection organizations that specialize in the treatment of these child victims.
