Below are articles that appeared in various news outlets over a 24 hour period. They represent only a fraction of articles referring to child sexual abuse or exploitation during that same period. Does this not give us all a clear indication that this is a widespread global problem requiring a concerted global effort?

In Australia, after a tip from the FBI, police arrested a man for downloading pictures and movies of the abuse and sexual exploitation of children as young as six months old. These were portrayals of the most depraved kind: children and/or infants bound and/or gagged while being assaulted.

In Norfolk Virginia, a man was sentenced to 18 years for the production of child pornography with two girls whom he sexually molested over a period of several years.

In  Shalimar, Pensacola, Florida, a man was sentenced to 25 years for the production and distribution of child pornography. This particular investigation was initiated by a Toronto police officer.

A 60 year old man, Thomas William Frederick from Carter, South Dakota was convicted of "Aggravated Sexual Abuse of a Child, Sexual Contact with a Minor, Attempted Sexual Abuse of a Minor, and Tampering with a Witness".
