Staff Sergeant Ian Lamond
Toronto Police Service

Ian worked in the Child Exploitation Section from 2002 until 2006 and was instrumental in helping the unit forge its global identity. He led a team of pioneers, constantly challenging them to be innovative and create new techniques to identify and rescue children. Ian was one of the first to recognize the value of the Internet as an open-source intelligence tool and he was instrumental in the development of the Child Exploitation Tracking System.
